Happy Hearts is delighted to have an academic program but we also take pride in incorporating six essential qualities in our curriculum which encompass our core principles of compassion; generosity; accountability; integrity; gratitude; self-confidence; and self-awareness using holistic practices.
Happy Hearts’ curriculum is always developmentally appropriate and designed to stimulate and engage a child's natural curiosity. All curriculum is intended to promote success and advancement, be non-competitive and include an anti-bias and multi-cultural component to promote understanding and acceptance of all people throughout the world. Curriculum topics are geared toward interests of the children through open ended discussions and the educational components are integrated by the teacher.
Each child is unique and special and should be treated as such. Every child learns differently and there are great variations in rates and types of changes in all developmental areas and being in a small group will ensure your child’s activities will be personalized to her/his specific developmental stage. Children learn through their own exploration and Happy Hearts strongly believes in a child's right to move, to play and to explore at their own pace. A love for learning, positive social development, and respect for self and others are the main goals for every child. Happy Hearts wants children to feel that their school is a happy, safe space in which to come to have fun and learn in the comfort of a home environment.
